Senior Product Lead,  SmartPM

Simon Pugh holds a mechanical engineering degree from Brunel University, UK. At HTRI he leads a group of engineers working on the development and application of software tools that are driving digital transformation in the processing industries. His particular emphasis is on improved refinery heat exchanger network performance and decision-making by combining HTRI’s industry-standard methods with physics-based dynamic fouling models, trained using Machine Learning (ML/AI). With his team, he works closely as a consultant with engineers at refining companies around the world, developing and applying SmartPM models and providing guidance on efficient processing.
