Stefano Tagliaferri

Research Engineer, Fouling

Stefano Tagliaferri completed his MS in Petroleum Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen, in 2017. During his studies, he served as a research assistant at the Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Center, designing and conducting high pressure and high temperature core flooding experiments to replicate oil extraction in North Sea Fields. Prior to joining HTRI, Tagliaferri worked as an R&D Engineer at Filtration Technology Corporation in Houston, Texas. In this role, he developed and executed coalescer test stands for liquid-liquid separation and conducted bench and pilot test scale testing for various fluid contaminant separation applications. At HTRI, Tagliaferri is involved in crude oil fouling research, designing and analyzing experiments to comprehend and mitigate heat exchanger crude oil fouling.
