Zach Gagnon

Senior Engineer, Research

Zach Gagnon earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his MS and PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. His areas of expertise include fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and high-performance computing (HPC). He is the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and the NASA Early Career Faculty Award. Prior to joining HTRI, Gagnon served as a faculty member for 14 years at Johns Hopkins University and Texas A&M University, where his research spanned transport phenomena, thermal sciences, and computational modeling. At HTRI, his work focuses on first-principles modeling of condensation, advanced HPC deployment for CFD, and investigations of cooling water fouling in heat exchangers.
