Emmanuel Hitimana
Engineer, Research
Emmanuel Hitimana graduated with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA. His PhD dissertation concerned the use of laser-based techniques for measuring turbulent flow in vortex chemical reactors and applied statistical methods for characterizing mixing in such reactors. He later worked as a Research Associate at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. His work at Case Western included developing microscopy techniques for characterizing particles dynamics in nano-confinement and thermography technique for analyzing surface temperatures of polymers powder fusion. His work at HTRI involves developing experimental and simulation techniques for understanding and mitigating heat exchanger fouling.
